I'm a car enthusiast, so I have to chime in on the Batmobile thing..

The Tumbler is the Best live action bat-transport Eva!! :P

:lol:

Seriously, though, the Tumbler is one of my favorites..
I tend to lean towards the more realistic and less.. Bizarre designs, myself.

Should not be based on any recognizable car model
Should be Fast, armored, multi functional and Scary looking..
Oh, and it should come in BLACK. ;)
Tumbler fits the bill quite well, IMO.

Other favorites of mine are the (1st) car from the animated "The Batman" series as well as the car from Batman: the Animated Series" (Similar to the Burtonmobile, but an improvement, IMO) plus a few from various comics like this one..

and this one..



BTW, if you haven't looked through that site.. It's pretty interesting.

Never worked with the Modular V-8's much myself.

I just figure If I could afford to build a High-Dollar replica, I'd build it as close as I could to what's represented in the film rather than what was Used in the film..

Though certain aspects of what was described ont he car were contradictory..
"Phase IV Heads" and "Twin Overhead Cam" for example..
The Phase IV 351 wasa n Ultra Rare Aussie Super Car engine back int he early '70's but it was NOT an O.H.C. Engine. :wink:

Another Contradiction is when in the First movie, the car is referred to as a "Pursuit Special" (Listen to the dispatcher over the radio when Max pulls up to where Johnny the Boy's Bike is laying in the grass) Yet in the Second Film, it's suddenly an Interceptor..

Meh. I realize this is only a teaser, but I think it looks kinda lame. Basically Heath Ledger with some nasty acne and lipstick smeared on his face. Nothing about it says "Joker" to me at all. Honestly, the creepy/jokey messages on the site are much cooler and prosmising than the image itself.
