Godzilla-Gamera would be possible if either company was willing to set aside any ounce of pride they have in their characters....and if the money's good.
I, myself have had some strange movie-dreams, but none of them's become a movie....yet. It's why I decided on film school, to make sure those concepts get made somehow.
Anywho, it's a dream-match, and the story has to make some sense at least....Gamera can't just pop out of nowhere and challenge an inexistant Godzilla out of the blue and all over Tokyo.....

No,one movie with poor reception won't kill Godzilla's reputation enough to ruin G Vs. G. A decent advertising campaign would get TONS of people interested in the premise.
