I love Mothra, but I dont want to see her back for a while, just like I don't really want to see Godzilla back for a while. At Toho, There's no ideas left and nobody cares. Besides Mothra had a whole trilogy in the late 90s and was in half of the Millenium films. People would just rather see other classic monsters that have been criminally underused since the old days (Angilas, Varan, King Ceasar, the Gargantuas, Titanosaurus, etc.) or brand new monsters. You can't take MOthra in as many directions as Godzilla, and both of those monsters have been squeezed dry for ideas. Mothra has been in 6 movies in less than 10 years (there was also the Fairy Mothra in Space Godzilla and the stock footage in GxMG). That's as much as Godzilla! People just feel like they've seen it all before and there isn't anything new to do... which there really isn't.

Someone had stated that he or she do not buy into an idea of a Seriuos and Dark Godzilla flims. Look at the flims in the VS series, the only thing that is stopping it from being well done is the very cheesy dialogue and some of the plot devices.
