I guess the best place to start is R1 DVDs (assuming you don't buy R2s). Tokyo Monsters has a "store" section that links to Amazon.com and Yesasia.com, and there are a few Ultraman titles on the R1 list.
I'm also interested in getting into Ultraman. I'm a complete Ultraman novice. The Next has most definitely got my attention and I've been following the movie since news first broke. I never had too much of an interest of Ultraman in the past, and even as a kid, I disliked Jet Jaguar in Godzilla vs. Megalon (now I think he's groovy!), but lately my interest in the series as a whole is growing.
I was in a Suncoast about a week ago and happened upon Ultraman Gaia: The Battle In Hyperspace (a.k.a. Ultraman Gaia, Ultraman Tiga, and Ultraman Dyna). Feeling ready and eager to embark on my Ultra-journey, I scooped it up. It's directly aimed at kids (and a lot of the Ultraman stuff is, I'm assuming) but it's real fun. If you're okay with the Mothra Trilogy, you'll like this movie. It's set in an alternate universe, and a kid wishes Ultraman "Gaia" into his world, and you can pretty much bet the events that follow. Pretty cool little flick, I don't regret buying it in the least. :color:
