I'm not a giant Ultra expert,so I was wondering,if you were going to purchase the full run of either Ultraman (original) or Ultraseven, which would you pick, and why?

My personal favorite is Ultraseven. I just think that it's an all-around beter series. I'm not ragging on the original by any means, it's a brilliant show, but Ultraseven is just a big pile of yay. It eclipses any other tokusatsu TV series to date.

...But that's just me.

i'd naturally choose Ultraman if it came dubbed, but Ultra 7 is one of the few series i'd want to see subtitled. it is really great. it's a matter of having seen Ultraman first for me.

The original ULTRAMAN is, far and away, my favorite of the Ultra series... but ULTRA SEVEN and ULTRA Q are great, too.

If you really want the best for your money you cant go wrong with Ultraseven. For a 1967 series is way serious compared to every other Ultraman series besides Nexus. Dont get me wrong, i really like Ultraman! i like it for the extra cheesy factor, memorable monster fights and nostalgia, but Ultraseven have a little more substance (plot, drama, etc) imho.

I never saw the original, so I'm going with UltraSeven.
