There is one good thing I liked about King Seesar in GFW no young lady had to sing in order for him to wake up and fight.

I like the Showa suit better than the newer suit for Final Wars and I think that they should of replace him with a different monster as I didn't like him much in both Godzila vs Mechagodzilla or Final Wars.

I seen Godzilla Versus The Cosmic Monster in which King Seesar first appear. I haven't seen Final Wars, yet, but maybe Legendary should do an American movie which reveal King Seesar as a guardian monster who protect the shire and it worshippers.

It's totally not a sequel to Destroyer.

My understanding was that the film was originally written as and intended to be a sequel to Destroyah, but executive meddling and Directorial fiat dumped that idea in favor of a standalone film.

^Kitamura's ORIGINAL idea was "the continuing adventures of Junior" but that got nipped in the bud fairly early on.

Those Heisei continuation rumors probably stems from the 100 meter scale chosen for the monsters... which actually comes from the special effects crew being so rushed and low on money (despite working on the highest budgeted Toho Godzilla film) that it was easier to construct less detailed miniatures.
