Monster Zero x SciFi Japan - Archive Only

I came up with this earlier, and decided to pose this question for those who, as the title said, disliked or even hated Monster X (and/or Kaiser Ghidorah, for that matter).

Let's say, for the sake of argument, that the Ghidorah was more like the Showa/Grand incarnations. However, Monster X is also replaced.

By Bagan.

I'm well aware that people are sick of hearing about Bagan and how people overuse him in fics, etc. But you be willing to have him replace Monster X, as long as it meant we got a more traditional and faithful King Ghidorah at the end?

Everything about GFW is the same, except it is Bagan that battles Godzilla and tagteams with Gigan. And he transforms into King, not Kaiser, Ghidorah.

So whaddya say? Which pair would you prefer?

Ah. Well, you see, you seem to like Monster X, and thus wouldn't be one of the people I was asking...

Just for the record, though, I love Monster X as well. I just thought this'd be a fun little "What if?" scenario.

Darn... whatever happened to our Bagan filter?

I am a fan of Bagan.

Bagan would have been better then Monster X, although I would have to see him in action before deciding how much better.

Bagan is just another Destroyah.... So? Just slim him down you might be thinking.... well, if you do, you'll just get another Monster X -- just with a different design.

Monster X wasn't an atrocious design, but he just plain wasn't all that impressive as far as I'm concerned,. However, the design of Bagan shown above would've probably looked pretty lame as a suit (with completely immobile shoulders a la SpaceGodzilla or Destroyah). That being said, Keiser Ghidorah looked like two guys lumbering around in a three-headed horse costume. So, if we're doing kaiju calculus here, I'd have taken just about anything over Monster X if it would've have gotten a more classical King Ghidorah for the climax of the film.

Note that I'm adhering to the original poster's rule that replacing Monster X is needed to get classic Ghidorah, when in fact Keiser Ghidorah is the main target of my disdain here.

I think the both of them suck. Kaizer Ghidorah might as well have been Death Ghidora, and Monster X, aside from having a really stupid name, looks like something out of the Rower Rangers. And as far as Bagan is concerned, yeah, keep dreaming, guys.
