Sorry, but I consider the poll to be pretty bogus to begin with. There are 64 votes, and they are supposed to be from people who have actually seen the movie. There haven't been nearly half that amount of reviews, or even comments from people on MZ who have claimed to see the movie. I find it far more accurate to just look at the amount of posts made by people who have actually seen the movie, and actually describe their likes and dislikes, as this is really the only way to determine if they've seen the movie or not. It's more then obvious there are a lot more negative posts, then positive, regarding GFW, and even a lot of the positive ones admit to it being a bad movie. Also, please don't give me the, negative voices are more vocal crap, as no matter how vocal they are, they still only count as one person. Just look at the, "I liked GFW" thread for a better example, not many posts there at all.

He left?!? Shame...He's the one who introduced me to the Ultraman:The Next Theme "Never-Goodbye".....I couldn't've gotten it otherwise.....

Shame it had to end like that.....

On-Topic - GFW isn't a bad movie, I mean, there're worse perversions out there in the kaiju genre...Think Reptillian/Yongary, Zarkorr:The Invader, and Gargantua.....

At least Big G wasn't killed off in a fantastic fashion or lived because he ran or did a "kamehameha" on his opponent....and the movie is pretty much set to be a popcorn movie like Van Helsing, Resident Evil Apocalypse, and Constantine.....

^ Glad we agree! :D :D :)

I think that's the whole point of GFW - It's just a movie to pass the time, to have fun for a little while and then go and do whatever you're thinking of doing afterwards....

I bet that if you think about it, you've looked back and laughed something that happened in the movie, like everyone speaking japanese to Don Frye and he answered in English instead of "Huh?!?"...I thought that was pretty funny and senseless......

After watching Azumi, and comparing it with GFW, I can see what Kitamura did - It was a film that regardless of bad publicity, would still be seen by the masses as a fun action flick. It's a pick-up-and-watch movie that's good for those days when you've got nothing better to do or need a little pick-me-up.

And about those B-Movie kaiju films - those really stunk.....I saw Reptillian on Sci-Fi once when I was a wee lad. Then 2-3 years later, I found out it was a remake of Korea's "Yonggary", so I saw it again......I have less respect for it, now that I can see the bad CG........ :P
