Before Tokyo:SOS I'd have said Megaguiris without hestitation, but now it's the former. At least Megaguiris has a neat new kaiju.

Hands down Godzilla: Tokyo SOS followed very closely behind by GXMG....though one can make a good case for either one of these 2 films, for they both are two of the worst, most overrated G films ever. Dull unimaginative storylines, weak cardboard characters, lame unspectactular monster battles (short battles such as with Baragon in GMK and most of the battles in GFW are *far* more exciting than the drawn out boring battles in GxMG and G:SoS), and one of the worst onscreen interpretations of Godzilla in recent memory (worst G suit of all time and the face looks absolutely horrible from front shots, a seemily empty suit standing still while being bombared by missles in GxMG looks terrible on screen, and Godzilla himself lacks personality in boths films and comes off as a rather weak, slow moving punching bag for MG, and he is defeated with ease in G:S0S).

The reason I chose GSoS over GxMG is that since GxMG was so bad, it should not have been that difficult to make GSoS better....right? Wow, how quickly I was proven wrong. Do we get to see MG finally go completely beserk and out of control that was barely teased for a few seconds in GxMG? Nope...just more of the same....MG is sent into battle against one of the weakest incarnations of Godzilla ever, MG gets put out of commission while a character we don't care about takes what seems to be an eternity to climb into MG and repair him. It's as if a record player is skipping with these 2 films. About the only difference is Mothra is thrown in, and her battle with Godzilla is basically the same as her 5000 other battles with Godzilla.

When the return of Kameba as a dead corpse is the highlight of both these films, that says alot about them in general, and I think TOHO made the right decision by not allowing Tezuka to come back for the 50th anniversary film (and he got to direct *3* films, and those 3 films are the weakest of the millenium series, so it was long overdue for some new blood). Since both of these stinkers are so similar to each other in terms of ineptitude, they will probably split each other's votes in most polls...

I think GXM. It's fun to watch but it's just not as well made as the other millenium movies. G2000 was my second choice mainly because even though it's pretty good it didn't live up to it's potential.

Actually, I really liked Megaguirus. It was campy and fun. My least favorite was GxMG. The fighting was so stiff, and there were times when they would get hit by rays and the suit wouldn't move. I thought it was the most boring out of all of them. GMK is still my absolute fave. It goes like this;

1. GMK
2. GFW
3. GxM
4. Tokyo S.O.S.
5. G 2000
6. GxMG

Even though I voted for GXM, I couldn't help but agree with EVERYTHING stated above by Ebirahsmeg. Well stated!

Also the fact that there really weren't any original concepts in TSOS. It's like watching Godzilla vs the Thing all over again.

Wow this thread is suprising. Id easily say G2k. It reeked of quickly made attempt to capitalize on GINOs failure. It even at times tried to act like an American movie(BIG mistake)Incredibly mediocre. Lousy director, even worse music score.At least Megaguiras had some fun elements to it, kinda like the late Showas.

GFW is little more than one long 2 hour plus FART.

Don't get me wrong. Rip-offs aside, I love every element this movie's script contains... but humans taking precedence over the monsters, bad effects, Minya, little Kaiju time, rip-offs and other things just killed this movie for me. I wanted to like this movie so badly... in the end, it sucked.
