Season 2 of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego via Netflix.
This show is a mix of fun & informative.

Green Eggs an Ham on Netflix. The idea sounds completely stupid, I agree 100%, but make no mistake, this show is hilarious, and great to watch as a family. Obviously, as my signature indicates, I've been pretty down on Television lately, as there really hasn't been anything I've found to be worth watching, and many series I used to enjoy have all been ruined for one reason or another.

This show is fun, has great visual, as well as auditory humor. A LOT of stopping, and going back to see things you missed. Michael Douglas as Guy is ingenious! The animation style is also refreshing as it is clearly not CG, not cheap flash animation, but also not something traditionally seen either.

The series obviously has to expand as there were really only two characters in the children's book. There are a ton of guest voices as well. Tracy Morgan as the Fox was hilarious. I've gotten about half way through, but the way each episode blatantly throws in one or two lines form the book always gets a laugh. I'm hoping the final episode recounts their entire adventure and goes through the entirety of the book, but I guess we'll see.

Binging Lost in Space season 2. Up to episode 7 and so far it is a vast improvement over season 1 which for me was uneven. It starts out typical, with every episode involving a life/death crisis, but then they start to expand things and only have one every other episode .

I just binged watched The Witcher on Netflix. So far its an amazing show I can't wait to see where they take it.

As mentioned over on the Japanese Heroes area of the board, I was watching Chojin Sentai Jetman.
Overall it was better than many of the various "Power Ranger" shows, but had a rather odd ending...

SymBionic Titan on Netflix. This was one of those shows on CN about a decade ago. I always heard good things about, but never took the time to watch.

The show is pretty awesome. Great visuals, action and fun. Definitely pushes the boundaries of what a kid show should be, but never crosses the line. I'm definitely enjoying it.

Chewed through "The Good Place". Love that show and the fact that the creator had a solid idea with a clear goal and ending. None of this ending on season 20 after 5 cast changes and wavering quality as different crew are shuffled around.

Also picked up some more seasons of 30 Rock. Love that show.

And I've been putting The Great British Baking Show on while I'm gaming. I love how positive it is.

Dracula (Netflix mini-series) was interesting, hope they stick with the older stuff vs. modern times.

The Witcher (Netflix) was pretty good, hopefully they go through the game series plots.

The Mandelorian (Disney+) ripped through this pretty quick, was pretty cool, hopefully the people behind this eventually take over the Star Wars universe.

Ultraman Nexus on Amazon Prime- 9 out of 10
tried watching the first episode of Ultraseven X, just couldn't get into it, did not like the lack of miniature sets and the over use of blatantly cheap cgi backgrounds. also the episode starts out in a very weird way, 5 out of 10

Since I kept Disney +, I decided to try to rewatch Darkwing Duck, it's still fun, but kinda weird they don't do an origin episode right off the bat.
After watching a couple episodes, I switched over to Gargoyles, still a very very good show.

Picard - An excellent start to what I hope is a great show. Patrick Stewart is great as always, and so far the story looks to be interesting. And while you will see call backs to TNG it doesn't try to play purely on nostalgia. Things have changed greatly in the last 22 years, and we have a new world to explore while Jean Luc tracks down a mystery tied to a long lost friend.

^ I very much want to see this, but don't want another subscription service... I may wait until the full season is available and try to binge in a 7 day free trial. Nice to see they are finally advancing the original Star Trek timeline, I feared after the Kelvin timeline came in, the original would never be visited again.

Other than binging the Pertwee years of Doctor Who I've been rewatching all of Better Call Saul to get ready for the new season. God this show is amazing and gets better with every viewing. Easily the best show of the decade.

Ultraman the Mill Creek blueray- 9 out of 10- fantastic subtitles

We started the 2002 Twilight Zone series the other day. First four episodes were quite enjoyable and I was thinking, "Man, what were people talking about? This is already way better than the 80s series." And then we watched episodes 5-10 and things got really really bad. Each episode was worse than the last one with the this one about a Conan rip-off coming into the real world to help Not-Kevin McCallister stand up to his abusive father being one of the worst episodes of the entire franchise. Yikes. There was also a dreadful episode about a lady trying to kill baby Hitler, one where a lady "almost" got hit by a car that was pretty obvious, and another "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" remake of "Dead Man's Shoes," but with glasses.

Watched a the first episode or two, and some random other bits of Star Fleet. It's basically Japanese Thunderbirds; puppets, miniatures, and three ships that form into a super robot. While not having seen all of Thunderbirds, what I have seen of that seemed rather dry, maybe due to the limitations or the style of its time. But Star Fleet has a lot more dynamic and cinematic depth than I was expecting. We watched the US dub, which I think has a replaced/enhanced soundscape. The music is just jamming, reminiscent of a mix of Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds and, at times, the theme to Buckaroo Banzai. Also having theme being done by Queen's Brian May and Eddie Van Halen is sort of mind blowing (although I can't recall if that was in the show or if we watched that on youtube). Also, I wonder if there was any conscious or subconscious between the Sequel Trilogy's BB-8 and Star Fleet's ball like android PPA (which you'd swear they were saying BB-8 every now and again).

^ I liked both the English dub and Japanese original (which also has great music), so I toggled between the two, watching episodes dub - sub - dub - sub 'till the end. I've never done that before!
