iPod replacement

My ipod touch has been acting wonky as of late. Around Christmas I had the headphone jack replaced, it was only working for one side of the connected ear buds and car speakers. And now it will just randomly cut out, as if the audio cord was unplugged cutting all sound and not even showing the volume bar until I unplug it and plug it back in. After about 20 minutes it mostly stops misbehaving.

So I'm on the look out for a good alternative. While I wouldn't mind getting another ipod touch, I really don't want to drop over $200 for it, I'd rather get the MonsterArts Biollante. I placed a bid on a used 3rd gen on ebay but I expect to be out bit they day the auction ends.

Does any one have any suggestions for good non-iPod MP3 players?

I don't know about non-iPod MP3 players but I have an iPod Classic and it's great. Compared to the 8-32 GB of an iPod Touch, it has 160 GB of storage. I've got a ton of music on it and it's not even two-thirds full.

I swear by Sansa Fuze MP3 players. I've used them for years now and they never let me down.
