My wife and I are expecting our first child! She is about 20 weeks now...we go next Wednesday to find out the sex of the baby.

One thing I am not looking forward to is a lack of sleep...I already feel like I don't get enough. :|

Congrats, if you can get past the infant stage, (first 3 years) it actually gets easier. My kids are 7 & 8. They are very fun right now. My son has all the same interests as me, but I'm sure that will change as he grows older. My daughter while not a big japanese sci-fi fan, still will watch the movies if I put them on. I know things will change when they get to be teenagers, so I am just enjoying the time I have now.

First babies typically come a little late. If that happens I may be off work for start of the NCAA tourney...which selfishly I would love that but obviously it's not really important in the scheme of things. Did you do any of those 3D scans? We didn't, but they look incredible.

We had our first, a girl, just five weeks ago. Sleep schedules will change dramatically, but they can be compensated for--assuming that you aren't taking classes at night or working a second job. I don't know how I'd manage in that case. But overall, I've found it has a very positive impact on my life, including much better time management. This is the first time I've ever been able to commit to cardio and creative writing, every single day. I guess it helps that I can't go anywhere...
