1.) Possession
2.) Evil Dead (2013)
3.) Return of the Living Dead 2
4.) Return of the Living Dead 3
5.) Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon
6.) Return of the Living Dead 4
7.) Monster Brawl
8.) The Faculty
9.) Return of the Living Dead 5
10.) The Howling 2
11.) The Howling 3
12.) The Howling 4
13.) Severance
14.) Bride of Re-Animator
15.) Halloween H20
16.) Howling 5
17.) Howling 6
18.) Beyond Re-Animator
19.) Howling 7
20.) Howling Reborn
21.) Curse of Chucky
22.) Killer Klowns from Outer Space
23.) Cube
24.) Cube 2: Hypercube
25.) Cube Zero
26.) Puppet Master 4
27.) Puppet Master 5
28.) Puppet Master 6
29.) Retro Puppet Master
30.) Puppet Master 8
31.) Demonic Toys
32.) Dollman
33.) Dollman vs. Demonic Toys
34.) Puppetmaster vs. Demonic Toys
35.) Puppet Master Axis of Evil
36.) Puppet Master Rise of the Axis
37.) Pumpkinhead 2
38.) Pumpkinhead 3
39.) Pumpkinhead 4
and 16 Treehouse of Horror episodes

Pumpkinhead 2 is awful. I mean, we do at least get to see the monster a LOT, and it looks great, so it's kind of a fun monster movie on its own...but it also drops a LOT of the best parts of the original

Pumpkinhead 3 is respectable to a point. If you keep in mind that it was made for TV by the SciFi channel, the creature effects are passable (though the suit design is disappointing in its changes of coloring), Doug Bradley plays a good villain non named Pinhead, and the overall plot is interesting/different. But it's still got a "made for TV" nastiness to it, there are some of its plot points that are HORRIBLY executed, others that make little to no sense, and there are some CG effects which are not only wholly unnecessary, they are AWFUL in execution. Better than 2 in terms of closeness to the original. Worse than 2 in terms of quality and entertaining filmmaking.

Pumpkinhead 4 sucks. It's so hackneyed and played out...and it's incredible how much worse it is, considering it was filmed at the same time as 3.
Gills.

I like the first 10 or 15 minutes of Van Helsing. As a short film on its own, works great.

Just don't make the mistake of watching the rest of the movie at all. What a supremely disappointing piece of crap.

I just watched the Friday the 13th reboot. It was fun and an interesting take on Jason.

watched an episode of Primeval New World last night I was too tired to watch a movie plus I had to be up early today for work. I'm finding it hard to get into this show it's interesting but it's not hooking me like the British show it's spun off of.

I watched The Monster Squad for the first time. I liked it, I especially liked a lot of monster makeups/effects. My greatest compliment is that it moves at a really nice pace, an hour, 22 minutes went by like nothing.

45.) Tomie
46.) Tomie: Another Face
and 16 Treehouse of Horror episodes

The Wrong Turn movies are...well, if you REALLY like horror movie clichés, then these are the movies for you. Cardboard characters, gore, violence, monstrous villains, lots of boobs. They are fun if you're a genre fan, but man...it's kinda hard to swallow the scene in the second one where the inbred hillbilly is masturbating to the sight of the naked attractive girl and then his sistecousiwife gets mad at him...and from there, the series stays firmly in ridiculous mode. They've all blended together in my brain into one giant, incestuous orgy of blood, boobs, something about a reality TV show, a hospital, a prison bus full of convicts, and Doug Bradley taking over an entire town from behind bars.

Tomie is alright I guess. It doesn't really come together as the ending is a mess, and there's nothing really gripping about it other than trying to figure out exactly what is happening. Not sure if I'll bother to carry on with this series, especially with how bad Another Face is.

I said I wouldn't, but I watched two more Tomie films: Replay and Re-Birth.

They're both pretty bad. All of these movies are the same.

A girl is dead, people are surprised when she then shows up alive, she's Tomie, she's a b*tch, she can't be killed. They make such a POINT out of her unkillability, that it absolutely robs the movies of any ability to have any dramatic tension whatsoever, and since they never develop any of the characters, we don't really care about them as they fall into Tomie's web.

The first one's definitely different from all the subsequent sequels, and I suppose the sequels have made me appreciate the first one more, but even that first one is not all that great.

45.) Tomie
46.) Tomie: Another Face
47.) Tomie Replay
48.) Tomie Rebirth
49.) The Fog
and 19 Treehouse of Horror episodes

God, I love The Fog, flaws and all (and it has quite a few of them).

Treehouse of Horror 17:
Married to the Blob - This one is pretty funny, but the Dr Phil stuff and the Sir Mix a Lot joke spoil it. Though the German joke is really funny, but it gets off and running too fast for its own good, and why does Homer go from green back to yellow?
You Gotta Know When to Golem - Oh man, this is bad. The opening little bit with Krusty is alright, but geeze, this is one of the worst segments there is.
The Day the Earth Looked Stupid - Another awful piece of dreck. The Simpsons have always made political jokes here and there, but they've always been fairly generic, "Republicans are rich and evil" or "Democrats are whiny wimps who let prisoners out of jail early"...the political satire here is far too specific and MUCH too heavy-handed.
^Wow. This is bad.I remember Treehouse 14 being the one where I stopped thinking the Treehouse series was awesome. This was the one that caused me to stop watching it as a yearly event. I've seen a few of the others, but after the fact.

Treehouse of Horror 18:
ET Go Home - ehhhh...
Mr. & Mrs. Simpson - bah!
Heck House - guh!
^I think this is the worst Treehouse there is. I don't remember enough about the next few, but this is brutal.

Treehouse of Horror 19:
Untitled Robot Parody - It falls pretty flat. The foosball joke at the end is okay...but overall it just doesn't totally work
How to Get Ahead in Deadvertising - It actually gets a few things right. Like the old time spoof episodes, it starts off as kind of a normal episode of The Simpsons, but just goes crazy. I find it really funny, actually.
It's the Grand Pumpkin, Milhouse - Wow. I like it a lot. It's a good spoof, it's fun, it's funny, it's different, it's creative, it's new. Good stuff.
^after the first 7 or 8 minutes being pretty bad, the episode gets some traction and turns out pretty good. I wanted to watch another one initially, but after really enjoying this one, i didn't want to tempt fate and have 20 be terrible.

I have also watched the first 8 Simpsons THoHs as I only count the first 9 seasons of the series.

Oh, and The Mummy's Hand, The Mummy's Tomb, Son of Dracula, and Nightmare on Elm Street can be added to my list.

The past few days I've had no gumption what so ever to watch anything horror/sci-fi related. I did watch the Halloween episode of Toy Hunter last night tonight I'm going to try and finish off the 90s horror movie Grim which has been kind of meh.

One of these years I will watch at least one movie a day for the whole month of October probably stuff I actually enjoy so that I don't get bored.

23. Frankenstein Conquers the World (1965)
24. Frankenstein (1931)
25. The Wolfman (1941)
26. The Addams Family (1991)
27. The Addams Family Values (1993)
28. Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1996)

Love Frankenstein Conquers the World, and Frankenstein and The Wolfman are classics.
The Addams Family films are always fun to me, although the 2nd film's plot is a bit too similar to the first, although the summer camp stuff is fun.
Also, due to complete accident I watched the first original Halloween series film in its entirety (I have, however, seen the last 15 minutes of the original film a billion times, or so it seems). It was dumb.

The original Halloween is amazing. It is almost as good as The Thing and just as good as Escape from NY.

47.) Tomie Replay
48.) Tomie Rebirth
49.) The Fog
50.) Children of the Corn
51.) Children of the Corn II: Final Sacrifice
52.) Prince of Darkness
and 22 Treehouse of Horror episodes

Children of the Corn is a missed opportunity. The story obviously would need to be padded out to make it run movie-length, but they put the padding in the wrong spots. Should have developed the two main characters more, instead of just adding more chase scenes.
Children of the Corn II is laughably bad.

Prince of Darkness is still a favorite. I love it. I think I like it better than The Fog, as they are both more mood-pieces than stories with strong narratives, but Prince of Darkness is better in terms of setting the mood, with a better score, and some cooler set pieces.

Treehouse of Horror 20:
Dial M for Murder or Press # to Return to Main Menu - it's a fun spoof on Hitchcock. Like the Grand Pumpkin and a few others, it has that unique style that allows me to forgive some of its shortcomings
Don't Have a Cow, Mankind - Bleh. They've done zombies before, and done 'em better.
There's No Business Like Moe Business - what the...? Seriously? Holy craptacular.
^I'm really glad I didn't watch this right on the heels of 19, because it really is HORRIBLE.

Treehouse of Horror 21:
War and Pieces - I actually kinda like this. Like the old segments, it starts off as normal and goes crazy, and the premise is pretty decent. But I wish they had gone more "evil" with it. Something like a demonic Jumanji would have been more fun.
Master and Cadaver - <sigh>
Tweenlight - The non-Twilighty parts are pretty funny, actually, but again, they've done Vampires before too...and done 'em better.
^Their references used to be more ubiquitous. Are members of The Simpsons target audience REALLY supposed to get Twilight humor?

Treehouse of Horror 22:
The Diving Bell and the Butterball - I find it funny. I like how he's a paralyzed Spider-Man, it works for me.
Dial D for Diddily - I like it actually. The jokes at the end are all rather funny.
In the Na'Vi - It's okay, but even at the time, Avatar jokes and spoofs had been played out.
^Well, it's better than 20 and 21 by quite a bit, so I figured I'd stop here and save 23 and 24 for another day. Overall, it's not as good as 19, but beats out a lot of the later-era stuff.
Gills.
