That Georgia-Auburn game was absolutely sick. It didn't look like it at the start of the season, but now, that Alabama at Auburn game is all that stands between Bama and a third straight shot at the BCS title.

I didn't really watch much college ball today. I only checked the scores on most games when they seemed kinda outta hand already, and FSU had already won.

These next three weeks are gonna say a lot about who wins the AFC West. Chiefs at Broncos tonight, Broncos at Patriots next Sunday night, then Broncos at Chiefs the week after.

My fantasy season is on life support.

My team is under performing and his team is getting STUPID lucky. RGIII puts up three quarters of awful, but then miraculously throws for like 200 yds and 2 TDs in five minutes in the 4th quarter. His D gets two TDs. His backup Tight End gets 9 catches for 90 yds and a TD....unbelievable.

This other team sucks, but my team is doing worse.

Another NFL week is in the books. Great wins by my Cowboys and Patriots. Dallas will only make the playoffs by winning the NFCE. They'll have too much to overcome to try to make it as a Wild Card. And it's gonna be a great NFC Wild Card race. Whomever called the Niners not making the playoffs this season made a possible good call. They could win 10 games and still not make the playoffs. (which wouldn't make me sad) I'm also enjoying what i'm seeing going on in Washington. I can't stand the Deadskins, and they're DONE. Bye bye Shanahan and Co. Jason Garrett will join them if my Cowboys don't make the playoffs. And Houston??? Man oh man. That team looks like they have almost quit on Kubiak. I'd say he's gone after this season as well.

HUGE game this Saturday in this years annual Iron Bowl. Alabama at Auburn didn't look this attractive at the start of the season, but man, this right here is now the game of the year as Auburn is the only team standing in the way of 'Bama getting to a third straight BCS title game. I'm hoping Ohio State slips up either at Michigan or Michigan State. Florida State looks like they're going to be in the title game regardless.

I wasn't necassarily meaning a longer post-season, just evening things out a bit. Besdies, you cant say that teams in the NFC North & East have poor records because they have toughter schedules. I think several of them are legitimately bad teams this year. I think a 2nd or 3rd place team in a division that has a better record then a 1st place team in another division should get in, better than being 8-8, or 9-7 (just for being first) and getting thumped the first week as happens traditionally, when a much better team at 10-6 dosen't even get a shot because they are in a tougher division.

Then again 10-6 is kind of that berderline number. Sure the last two Superbowl winners had that regular season record, but just imagine if they were in a tougher division and didn't get in? I cant recall any team under the current playoff system to win a Superbowl with a 9-7 regular season record.

How about Seattle a few years ago going 7-9 and winni g a playoff game?

If you wanna make the playoffs, win your division. If you can't do that, good luck getting a wild card. There's two of them. It's plenty fair and plenty even.

Also, in 2008 the "undeserving" Arizona Cardinals came within a couple inches of winning the Super Bowl.

Huuuuuuuuuge game this Saturday in the annual Iron Bowl. If 'Bama wins this game, you can pencil them in the BCS Title game. (they should beat whomever in the SEC Title game) This is gonna be good.

I betcha Saban wishes he hadn't of argued for that extra second on the clock, and i'm sorry, I would've played for OT. I didn't mind Michigan going for two against OSU, but I would've called a different play in that situation. So now, we have to assume that FSU will beat Duke in the ACC Title game, OSU has a tough one against Michigan State in the Big 10 Title game, and that Auburn game against Mizzou in the SEC Title is not a gimme. Looking forward to see how next weekend shakes out for that final BCS standings.

I have no problems with Michigan's decision to go for two. Gardner blew it and panicked, plain and simple.

If Saban regrets anything, I'd imagine it's his decision to go for it at Auburn's 13 yard line instead of attempting just a 30 yard FG. He got outcoached, and Alabama looked flustered throughout the second half of that game.

Man... so many good teams this year have "escaped" from losing to horrible teams. Todays Patriots win over Houston is another example. Just goes to show that the distance between great and not-so-great teams is ever dwindling. Also I have to congratulate Denver. They proved themselves beating KC both in meetings, and put the talk to rest, (but I'm still rooting for KC in the AFC) still both of these teams will be in the post season, it will be interesting to see what happens. I'm still not ready to hand over the Lombardi Trophy to Denver though, they were fortunate enough not to have to play any good teams in the NFC this season, and wont see one until the Superbowl (if they make it that is...)

On an NCAA note, since Bama lost, that means Ohio State has shot at the BCS Title game. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

I'm not a fan of the BCS, but I'll take a Championship game. I wish they would move to an 8 team playoff system instead of capping it at 4.
