Til then, get therapy, get a life, and quit using other people's successes to down on yourself for not going out there and getting it yourself. There's a lot of people like that out there. Most of them are managers.
Aside from getting therapy, a cool thing to do that would be really cheap, if you can get your hands on some camping equipment, would be to hike the Appalachian trail or some other such long hiking trail. It would give you some time to reflect on yourself, and it would give you an adventure. You'd also probably learn that you should stop comparing your full picture of life to everyone else's highlight reel. Vacations can be hell. They're satisfying, but they can be serious hell.
