Nope, the first curved screens available to consumers were 55". I've seen them in stores and they're not nearly big enough to even begin seeing the benefit (unless you're going to basically pull a chair right up to it so that it fills your field of view and you're the only one watching the tv).
When I say you need a huge screen to realize the supposed benefit of a curve, I mean a HUGE screen. There's not a tv in the world big enough to make it worthwhile right now. For a typical house, sitting on a typical couch that is a typical distance from the screen (and I'm basing "typical" on what I see in my friends and relatives very average middle class homes), you'd need a tv that literally takes up the entire wall, and even then it probably still wouldn't be big enough.
