I began reading comics in the very late '90s/early '00s - in the smoking ruins of the comics industry bust!

So many quarter bins filled with dozens of foil covers for the same issue!

I read plenty of comics in the 90s. but most of them weren't that good.

Spawn was a decent idea, but more often than not, McFarlane was too busy going out of his way to try and be edgy.

And I can't stand Rob Liefeld. How that guy got popular is beyond me. He can't draw.

I never got into Deadpool.

Bane is cool, death of Superman has OK, the Spider-Man clone thing was awful, giving Wolverine bone claws was awful, Onslaught was awful, Maximum Carnage was awful, making Venom a good guy was awful... a whole lot of awfulness, really.

The rise of Vertigo is a very, very good point.
