It also might be that the young kids who like fantasy fights and things like that would have nobody to post with here. We're kind of...not be elitist...but beyond that. We all like to just discuss the movies and bring up little things we notice on each subsequent viewing and its really fun when I can read somebody's opinion and view a movie in a whole new light. Elsewhere I just read posts and say "good gawd."

I'd think the board maintaining stable activity for 6 years would be a good thing. After all, Godzilla Final Wars was out in theaters in 2004 in Japan and was released onto DVD in North America in Dec. 2005.
Beyond the Legendary Pictures Godzilla movie, I expect the board could likely draw in new people and bring back some older members with the upcoming release of PacRim.

Certainly there's not as many posts flying as when there's a major Kaiju movie coming out, but we do get a lot of members visiting regularly whether they post or not.
The ongoing discussions tend to have some quality thought put into them. And at least I think quality > quantity.

Well, it is easy keeping up with all the new posts and topics here. Lots of signal, very little noise. I'm probably one of the newer members here, and its been pretty consistent since I arrived.
I do like when new reviews/opinion topics of kaiju media shows up, especially if its of something I've either not seen or had forgotten. The one forum I frequent had for a time a "viewing club" thread where they'd pick an episode from one of the series as the "episode of the week", and people would post thoughts. Not sure if something like that would work here, or if its really needed.

That's a darned good idea Alpha. I'd be down for a kaiju viewing thread! A kaiju or toku movie of the week thread sounds amazing!!!!!!!!
