Well with all the ways popular entertainment is trying to undermine our childhood, I feel like this is the final nail in the coffin. They have removed the scary artwork from Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark :(

The fat, pudgy lady from volume two haunted the back of my eyelids on many a sleepless night.

Seriously, those old drawings are stomach-twisting and disturbing. ....And I turned out just fine! It's good to have the ever-living crap scared out of you, to throw your mind in dark places and teach you how to have power over your own imagination. Otherwise, kids'll just grow up to be namby-pamby's.
