Yeah, I've followed the NBA this year more closely than before. These playoffs are shaping up to be really entertaining, and honestly the whole thing looks wide open. I didn't see LA losing to NO twice, and I certainly didn't think Orlando would be getting beat 3-1 to Atlanta. I like the Celtics (not die hard, but I love Ray Allen)...can't wait for the Heat series.

Once the Lakers got bounced by Dallas, in one of the WORST sweeps I have ever seen (yeah, the Lakers played poorly, but the Mavericks really did handle them), I jumped ships for Miami. That is, I think the Heat have the best chance to win it all at the moment. Lebron James and Dwayne Wade are two the best in the league today, and while Chris Bosh may not be on their level, I think he's proven to be, atleast, a "second-tier start." And then there's Udonis Haslem, who I feel is like a secret weadon. People under-estimate the significance of having already won a champion, and this is key for someone like Haslem. He's done it already (like Chauncey Billups has a ring, not to mention a Finals MVP to his credit; I really hope the Knicks take that into consideration), and I'm sure he's hungry to do it again.

I think this is going to be a very good NBA Finals. I like both teams, and they both deserve to win it all. I'm a big fan of Dirk Nowitzki, because a) he's a big man, b) he's a big man that can ball, and c) he's a big man that's clutch. Every time I've caught a Mavericks game, the guy is doing something that results in a basket. He is SICK! And if anybody has a chance at gurading him, I think it's Lebron James. They're both big guys, but James is not that much short than Dirk, and he's solid muscle. That is going to be an interesting match-up.

If this series is every bit as good as I expect it to be, I forsee it going seven games, with the Heat eventually winning it all...but I wouldn't bet on it. Dallas has just as good a chance at the title as Miami, and I wouldn't be surprised if they took it.

This was pleasant news to wake up to: Dallas Mavericks beat the Miami Heat in Game 6 to win the NBA finales.

Congrats Mavs. They weren't the team I wanted to win from the onset, but anything would be better than the Heat. So, I'm happy with this. They deserved it, even after (it seemed like) everyone had said that the Heat were going to win. They played very well.
