I think my first computer was on a 14.4k modem and all I remember were the crappy AOL sites and personal pages built on free hosting like geocities and angelfire. The original Monster Zero comes to mind. :) THOSE were the days.

Wow. I remember experiencing the internet firsthand for the first time at my aunt's place and marveling at all the Godzilla (of COURSE it was the first thing I started looking for) sites that were so readily accessible. When we finally got it at home a year or two later, it was like the same experience to the 14th power, since I had so much more time.

Ha, I was probably 10 years old or so and yes, the first thing I searched for was "Godzilla!"
