New Comic book thread

I'm not to into the current stuff with Batman being dead,Dick Grayson,or CEO of a bunch of Batmen,so can anyone reccomend a Batman arc that's:
1.not going to cost me an arm and a leg
2.is relatively short (like 5 issues tops)
3. is new enough to have decent art and script but still pre-crisis or at least reminiscent of pre-crisis stories
4. Ideally features a "name" villian,not necessarily Joker or Catwoman level but someone who at least was on the show or cartoons.
I've been collecting cheap fair condition back issues of comics ever since Megaloman reccomended milehighcomics.com. So far I've got some Justice League International,some Jemm Son of Saturn,some WildCATs and Youngblood for laughs,and of course some Giant Size Man Thing.
