RIP Nicholas Courtney
Actor Nicholas Courtney, whose best known and most loved role was that of Brigadier Alastair Lethbridge-Stewart on Doctor Who, has passed away at the age of 81. He was a "companion" to no less than five of the original eight Doctors, and also appeared in The Sarah Jane Adventures in 2008.
I know I'm not the only Whovian who had hoped he would show up in the new Doctor Who series at some point. He always had great presence and his scenes with Jon Pertwee are among the reasons I personally feel that those episodes are the best of the first series. Another wonderful part of the Who Universe is gone.
