NFC East
Dallas Cowboys (Until I see concrete evidence otherwise, the Redskins still suck. I dunno how the Eagles will fare without McNabb. The Giants could possibly take this should they play better than they did last year. Until the season gets underway, the Cowboys are probably the most solid team in this division.)

NFC West
Arizona Cardinals (For two seasons they've proven to be a solid team and made it to the playoffs. They've lost good players, but frankly nothing else in this division comes close to being better. By default, until the actual season begins.)

NFC North
Minnesota Vikings (Farve is back and he will proceed to destroy everyone. Hate him if you want, but this man almost got the Vikings to the Superbowl last year... too bad he threw the game away to the Saints.)

NFC South
New Orleans Saints (Drew Brees rulez.)

AFC East
New England Patriots (You can't deny that Tom Brady's got talent and the team is skilled.)

AFC West
Denver Broncos (Frankly I don't see how this warrants an explanation. What other team in this division comes close?)

AFC South
Indianapolis Colts (A stronger team than the Texans, and the Jaguars and Titans are just... meh.)

AFC North
Cincinnati Bengals/Baltimore Ravens (Steelers are overrated and the Browns are terrible. However, I find myself unable to choose between Bengals or Ravens. We'll see later.)

My fantasy football team is based mostly on my personal intuition, so the other few teams in my league are a bit stacked against me currently as far as pre-rankings. We'll see how the season turns out though! :)

I sense there will be a lot of fines after the kick off game.

I'm happy with the opening games. Giants won, Cowboys lost and I can't think of anything better. Would've liked to actually see the games, but what can ya do? Happy news to wake up to.

Oh, and the Cardinals beat the Rams.

Not really a football fan but watched the last quarter of the Lions/Bears games and Detroit got screwed yesterday.

The second time this year an official screwed a Detroit team. First the Tigers got screwed out of a perfect game and now this.

For shame.

Sam Bradford is going to be AMAZING by the end of the year. He's still very green right now, he'll come around and the Rams will be gangbusters when he does.

What I loved about Dallas' loss was that Alex Barron played a major role. I watched this joker do this for years with the RAMS...whenever we had a good drive going, or make a huge completion downfield, or throw for a TD, it was always either "Holding, #71 offense" or "False start, # 71 offense". The RAMS were heavily criticized when they traded Barron to the Cowboys for LB Bobby Carpenter ("Barron is a former 1st rounder, he's started nearly 50 games, you can't trade him for so little! Look, the RAMS just cut Bobby Carpenter! Cowboys really won in this deal...the RAMS are so dumb!"...etc. etc.).

However, this trade was the ultimate "Addition by subtraction"...the RAMS needed to dump this guy, even if we got little return. His putrid play for Dallas on opening day was great poetic justice...

Wow, the RAMS are facing an opponent tomorrow that might actually may be worse than them. :!:    If they lose tomorrow to the Faiders, then I am really worried about whether they'll win another game all year :(
