After 3 years flying the same plane I'm moving on to something new. I had my last flight in a Saab 340 a week ago and have since completed my first week training for the CRJ 900.

The Saab was a lot of fun & I'll miss it. It took a lot of work to learn and really helped improve piloting skills as it was still a very "manual" airplane. In other words, it wasn't one of those that "practically flies itself" as people like to say.

But I'm really enjoying the CRJ 900 so far. It's a really nice airplane and is extremely intuitive (unlike the Saab). Plus it's fun to finally be on a "real" jet. It'll also be fun to overnight in places like New York and San Fancisco instead of Watertown, SD or Houghton, MI.

I collect the Model Power "Postage Stamp" diecast planes and also love to go to airshows when and if I can.

Here are pictures from this summer's past Dayton Air Show:

And you can slightly see my diecast plane collection above my Godzilla collection:

I'll be glad to take better pictures of it if anybody's interested.
