Walt died almost suddenly from lung cancer, and left behind a legacy as well as a lot of people that wanted to keep the light burning, so to speak. His apartment over the Main Street Fire Station even has a lamp in the window that is kept burning.
There IS some strangeness attached to Disney and the secrets within it, from just neat hidden things, to outright Freemasonry... one thing, however, in the trophy dining room of 33 is rather creepy...

He was supposed to have conversations with dining guests, activated by someone who would listen to guests' conversations and respond to their remarks, but it was probably considered too intrusive (to put it politely), as the guests were VIPS and such....
