Apparently the cats that stole it took it to that lake to have some fun with the "Godzilla emerges from the water" angle, likely even filming it for their own amateur film. It was probably a lot less fun and a lot more difficult than they had thought. They ended up tearing and wearing it up real good, so they left it in the bushes for that horrified old lady to find.
It would have been interesting to have seen the local news reports on that.

Oh, & how did they use the 89/91 suit for the volcano emergence scene in mothra92 if this is true? That was the "water" suit from 89 if i'm not mistaken... the one with the noticable ridge in its forehead. I guess these guys stole the other 89/91 suit? the one with the rounder head?
