Got a new Blu-Ray player since my old one kicked the bucket.

Its a pretty decent Sony with a ton of movie apps that my old one didn't have.

I have my first ever Ugly Christmas Sweater parties coming up (two of em). Instead of wearing some abomination that I hate (which I realize is kind of the point), I wanted to wear something I like. So I ordered this, in hoodie form. Hopefully that isn't cheating.

A Sony BDP-S3100 All Region Blu-ray player. Finally I'm getting to watch the Ashes to Ashes Region 2 dvd's I got by mistake. As well as being able to play a lot of other things I've been interested in but haven't been available here (Hellooo Blake's 7). Add in Netflix, Hulu Plus and YouTube connections and it was well worth the price.

Got myself a spiffy new monitor for my PC is the Asus VG248QE; 144 Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time and does 3D. In order for the 3D to work I have to buy a kit though and I'll probably do that later down the line.

Couple of books:

Pulse by Jeremy Robinson (was trying to find that Project Nemesis one by him)

Inferno by Dan Brown

Both for reading while flying/before bed during my vacation (got back Wednesday).

On vacation I went to Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure.

I bought a generic interactive wand which has a skull as a handle, so I guess "Death Eater".
As well as a souvenir cup that was full of Buterbeer (basically cream soda with butterscotch cream on top).

I had fun.

Only issues were the two parks were pretty small (I could walk the entire perimeter in 30 minutes), and the Jurrasic Park River Adventure was closed.
They are apparently making a new attraction area called Skull Island, so King Kong is coming back.
It's right next to the River Adventure ride, so maybe that will be upgraded into something for Jurrasic World.
