I've read alot about people making these kinds of claims. Fortunately they mostly come from frustrated individuals with no real intentions to ever do anything like this.

Most 'hit lists' you find in high schools are from depressed teenagers that have never even seen guns before, let alone know how to use one. They're upset, confused and they don't understand the gravity of what they're writing. 99% of the time it comes down to irresponsibility, immaturity and an inability to communicate one's anger in constructive means, not from any real psychopathy.

The ability to take lives in a mass murder like Columbine or Virginia Tech thankfully escapes most angst-ridden teenagers. It takes a real sociopath like Eric Harris, Dylan Klebold or Seung-Hui Cho to actually do these kinds of things.

Such a horrible tragedy. Sadly, we'll always be vulnerable to lone nutcases. Part of life on Earth.
