A lot of the TV we love is cult, British, Japanese, midweastern, or low budget, and comes on in the middle of the night on some cable channel, but in my opinion there has been a definate increase in quality programing on the major TV networks. I really enjoy things like Lost, Heroes, The Office, My Name is Earl.... but by far, the best show on network TV is House.
It's just so great. Sure it has a formula; but the formula works (hey, it's heavily based on Sherlock Holmes, and those short stories definetly had their own wonderful formula). Hugh Laurie is spectacular in the title role, and I've come to like pretty much all the main charcters, especially Wilson, who I have to say is a bit more helpful than Holmes' Waston (Not that I have anything against Waston mind you).
Oh, and did anyone else give out a girlish scream during the conclusion of the episode with the parasite?
