I'd heard rumors for years that if you played Led Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven" backwards, you'd hear a Satanic message. I never paid this kind of stuff much mind. I always figured it was just people loving conspiracies and what-not trying to make anything they can out of whatever they can. But now I've come across this little webpage:

Hearing some of the songs on there in reverse really did raise my eyebrow. It's not all Satanic stuff, but it's definitely interesting to say the least.

And I'm normally not one to wince or be disturbed very easily. Ever. But hearing "Stairway To Heaven" like that genuinely bothers me. I don't like it at all.

Yeah. I've been there. I hear you on being disturbed too Benjamin. Me and my brother haven't really wanted to listen to Stairway since then.

I dunno where the link was, but there was a guy at some MB where this was being discussed (Who was a Satanist, was convinced Zeppelin had done the song this way on purpose, and was praising them for doing so. ) who had transcribed the whole song backwards. I dunno the validity of any of that, but there's supposedly a lot of references to ancient Pagan gods.

While we're talking about Satanists, comic creator Mike Mignola once got two letters from priests, one Catholic, one from The Church of Satan, both telling him how much they loved Hellboy.



As for the "hidden messages," I'm pretty sure there's something in the Godzilla vs. Gigan ending theme that tells you to purchase anything Godzilla related for the rest of your life, but it only sinks in after wathing it 6 times.

I listened to "Stairway To Heaven" backwards once. This is what I heard:

"YOU'RE LISTENING TO THE SONG BACKWARDS, YOU STUPID JACK@SS!!"

I think it was John Paul Jones.

Oh yeah, well did you ever hear the rumour that if you played this one Hall and Oates album backwards there's a song on there where you hear them getting gay wiyth each other ??
