This is a little off topic, but I know some of you post when you see a movie at the Alamo Draft House in here. So, we just had one opened up, but how do I find out when they are showing old movies?

Watched Superman: The Movie and Superman II.
I think I'm impressed by the production value of the first film, but that seems to drop a notch every film. I just...I dunno, these movies don't do it for me. I need to rewatch Superman Returns, but it's not hard to see why I liked it so much back in 2006. Especially since this is all it had to compete with.

Superman IV: The Quest for Peace -
Awful. You should all be ashamed. I think, the basis of the story (Lex Luthor breaks out of prison to create a clone of Superman to kill him/Superman tries to solve the Cold War/A hostile takeover of the Daily Planet) all sound MUCH better than the last film. Once executed as a film, it just isn't. As awful as Batman and Robin was, this is worse. >_>

Superman Returns - Really didn't like it in the theater. Didn't like it last time I rewatched it. Lots of misses in this movie. Spacey and Posey play off each other very entertainingly. I wish the same could be said with Routh and Bosworth. I like Routh but the script does give him much to do as a character. There's very little banter between Supes and Lex. He should have explained his plan to Superman and not Lois. Really a missed opportunity, and I feel so sorry for Routh being the Lazenby of Supermen.

Man of Steel - Pure sci-fi awesomeness. There are some elements that take some getting used to, but the movie moves a quick enough pace that you roll with it and by the end it's fine. Action set pieces are huge and magnificent. I love it when super powered being brawl and boy do they! Can't wait to see it again tomorrow in IMAX 3D!
