So this has been my homework for the day: Tomorrow I've got to present to one of my art classes two-to-three artists who are influential to my style and two-to-three who I consider myself to be in opposition to. Since I'm being allowed to focus on film this semester, I chose all filmmakers and being indecisive, I wound up choosing four and a half for the former category.
Behold, my tastefully-designed slides (click to see them at full size):
Wong Kar-Wai (Director) & Christopher Doyle (Cinematographer)
Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Director)
Shiji Higuchi (Special Effects)
Takeshi Yagi (Director/Special Effects)
My two disliked creatives were cinematographer Wally Pfister (TDK Trilogy) and Koichi Kawakita but I didn't care enough to upload their slides.
