Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol
Never seen this, the first original animated Christmas special, before. It's great, maybe the best of the 'a pre-existing franchise does a Carol' adaptations - yes, even above the deservedly beloved Muppets and Scrooge McDuck, for while on it's own Magoo's Carol is a fair version of the story what makes it excel is that it's a musical stuffed to the brim with great songs. It'll certainly be a long time before I get some of these tunes out of my head!
Also, these old Christmas specials are really close to feature film length. This one clocks in at 52 minutes. They all must be severely truncated for current broadcast, where a third of an hour is devoted to ads.
