It's a pretty emotional movie, a real honest work that pays a great homage to its' roots and shows how the industry can impact someone on the inside.....

I liked the movie - pretty great; I can see why Mickey Rourke's getting praised left and right. The actual matches are done with strkining realism([I]though why the !@#$ would they pick Necro Butcher out of all indy wrestlers is beyond me).

Seeing Ernest Miller as "The Ayatollah" was interesting.......

I wonder if this opens the doors for a more action-oriented wrestling movie.....

Well WWE released Val Venis, D-Lo Brown and Bam Neely... and a few refs. Seems like they just brought D-Lo back...

Yeah - there're certain kinds of people that can pull off a role like this and get it completely right, Mickey Rourke's one of those people.

This is one time where I hope The Dark Knight or that Slumdog Millionaire don't overshadow this at the Golden Globes or the Oscar. It has to win at least one.....

I also believe the "hit n' run" is some sort of vehicle to get Christian back, though I'm more inclined to believe he's #30 at the Rumble and he gets a shot at Jeff at Wrestlemania, and not Edge.

.....or he could go up against Cena.....who knows.....

Why did Stephanie fire Jericho? I didn't catch all of RAW, just the main event, so I'm a bit confused.....

....and this "Rosa" woman - what's she supposed to be doing and what angle would they be copying(just curious :P)?

I believe Jericho was fired because he was basically threatening Stephanie with Vince coming in and fixing her mess.

The Rosa angle was done 10-11 years ago when Sable was still around and very popular. It's how they introduced Torrie, who was her number 1 fan, but that didn't last long as she went on to be Kane's girlfriend and then joined DX as X-Pac's girlfriend.

Well the Mickie/Trish story line sort of had roots in the Sable/Torrie story line but this Rosa/Beth is defiently the exact same as Sable/Torrie from 1998.

I wouldn't mind having Jericho as GM, I'm actually suprised Steph is on Raw given her husband is on SD.

Well they released Bob Holly. Oh well.

I had also heard that they thought about having Christopher Daniels fill in as Suicide... then the guys were joking backstage that Suicide would "win" the suitcase with the pink slip and get fired when they did that gimmick match (whatever they call it) this year like Daniels and his alter-ego Curry Man have done the last two years...

Yeah, I read that too....I got a chuckle out of it, imagining Daniels' slim frame in the muscular Suicide suit.......I'd make sense if he could play it Spiderman-like....

Though what'll convince me'll be whomever can get the Special right. Low-Ki botched it on its' debut, and whomever can get the killshot actually right, not only gets a cookie, but MAD props for having the skill(and the balls) to pull it off.
