Kung Fu Panda 2
I was worried at first. The begining 10 minutes or so just lack the power or fun of the first film, but when this film picks up the pace eventually it's every bit as fun (if not more so) than the first film...I had a blast!
Also, it's nice to see a children's film that actually attempts to put some philosophy in it's plot and it's nice to see a western film that actually wears its heart on its sleeve instead of being cold, and sterile like so many of our films are now a days. Yes, I like feeling things when I see films. That's apparently almost unspeakable in today's world where you either have to be a fan of Michael Bay-mile a second, shakey cam, computer graphics of the kitchen sink style of film making or the snobbish, oscar bait stuff that might be "good" film making, but I'd hardly call it enjoyable.
Thor, and Kung Fu Panda 2...two recent movies that I had fun with and didn't feel like I was on a sugar rush. I am thankful for that but left asking, why can't we get more films like these?
