Son of Frankenstein
This film kinda gets lost in the shuffle of Frankenstein flicks - after the classic original two, and before the series was scaled down into a cheapie, B-movie series eventually reliant on crossovers with the other monsters. It's the middle child, and while it doesn't reach the heights of the brilliant original this one has a lot to recommend, first and foremost Lugosi's excellent performance as Ygor (Rathbone, Atwill, and... oh yeah, Karloff are great, too). The film doesn't seem to bother with trying to top the first two, instead venturing on it's own path and all the better for it.
