Even with the interceptions he still consistently throws for 2 or more TD's and over 200 yards... heck that game against Atlanta was almost 500 yards.
Like you said, the problem seems to be physical with Palmer this season and he's playing with an injured shoulder, but you also need to point blame to a defense with some great players who are all under-performing terribly.
With some time to build up strength and better coaching for both defense and offense, I think the Bengals will be just fine with Palmer. No reason to be fickle when your quarterback isn't posting crappy numbers like Brett Favre.
