Missing Independence Girl

PLEASE forward this information on. Missey Smith spoke with a family representative
tonight shortly after Daffny's family attended a prayer service. They had just been
talking about getting in touch with the Smith family when Missey called. Please
help this family in the same way you helped find Kelsey, by forwarding this e-mail
and keeping them in your prayers.

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- Police said they suspect foul play in the disappearance of a
17-year-old girl.

Daffny Velder was last seen on Saturday afternoon in the Sesquehana neighborhood of
Independence. She had taken her dog out for a walk, but the dog returned to the
house alone about 30 minutes later. Officers said they are using cell phone
technology to try to track the girl. Daffny is 4 feet 11 inches tall and has a thin
build. She has long brown hair and wears braces. She was last seen wearing a denim
skirt, brown boots and a light-colored shirt.
