Somewhat off-topic, but while we're discussing college football, last weekend my Dad and I caught a Nissan/Heisman commercial that depicted realistic incarnations of several teams' mascots running through a busy city street...there were a swarm of yellow jackets, a trojan on horseback, a sooner schooner (GO OU ), etc., but the one that had both of us scratching our chins in bewilderment was the elephant. OSU is sort of local... Moreso than Michigan at least.. Yeah, I got nothing as far as good reasoning goes. I tuned out after it became obvious that Pitt and PSU weren't going to really be in the mix.

Well, that win didn't really do much. Michigan is still number 2... USC better play well the next 2 weeks or we'll be seeing a rematch between OSU and Michigan in January.
