Alternate Ending for Godzilla vs Destroyah!?

I was just on LimeWire, when I came across a file named "Godzilla vs destroyah (alternate ending)". I decided to download it, but I had no idea it was authentic! Was the US cut different from the Japanese one aside from the dialogue?

Anyway, the ending started out with Destroyah getting away. She then gets shot down by the freeze masers, but doesn't die. She gets back up and Godzilla rushes over to her. The score "Requiem" starts playing as the two have a short melee battle. Unfortunately, the quality of the picture I got wasn't so hot, so I could see how, but Destroyah suddenly blew up.

Though it was cool seeing this footage and I wish Godzilla had been the one to kill Destroyah, I do see why this wasn't the final draft's ending. It doesn't set the stage for Godzilla's death so well, with such a feeling of meloncoly and sadness. Then again, it does explain why Godzilla was suddenly covered in ice when they cut to him after the computer confirmed the meltdown had begun...
