What is the most Overrated/Underrated Heisei Godzilla film?

Overrated: Actually, I don't know at this point.

Underrated: Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla. Bar none. I don't know what's wrong with this film. I really loved it! Spacegodzilla was a cool villain to me, and his powers were great! The Special Effects looked terrific to me, and I loved the cameo of Fairy Mothra and the Cosmos.

Overrated: Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla. Nobody likes it now, and it still doesn't get the amount of hate it deserves. If you can't tell, I *really* hate Space Godzilla.

Underrated: Vs King Ghidorah. I enjoyed it.

Overrated - Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II. Granted, its one of the better entries in the Heisei series, but Destoroyah, in my opinion, is a better film.

Underrated - Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla. Looking past the dragging plot, subpar special effects, and Little Godzilla, there's an awesome concept that tries to shine through. It's really not as bad as its made out to be.

Overrated - Godzilla vs King Ghidorah. Seems to be one of the most popular Heisei Godzillas to me, but it just has too many problems to me. Inconsistent acting (too many bad white boys), inconsistent special effects (Godzillasaurus scene, anyone?), and a silly story that makes really no sense at all. It has it's high points (great Ifukube score, Godzilla and King Ghidorah both look great, and most of the monster scenes look pretty good), and it's overall a pretty decent Godzilla film, but I just hear way too many G fans put this one up on a pedestal when it's not that great overall.

Underrated - Definetely Godzilla vs Biollante. It surely has a fairly complex and confusing storyline, and does feature too many characters, but the monster action is top notch in this one. Kawakita was very inspired and visionary with this film, and the special effects have a freshness and an energy to them that declined over the Heisei series. Biollante is a very inspired opponent, and is manipulated surprisingly well. Godzilla looks about the best ever in this film, and his new design for this film was yet another one of it's innovative turns and ideas. Godzilla is seen a lot, and there is a great deal of monster action, effects scenes, and miniatures. I don't think Koichi Sugiyama's score is nearly as bad as many others made it out to be, and once again, it is another fresh step for the series. The final battle between Godzilla and Biollante's final form, while brief, is just amazing in how well it is done and how good it looks. I have thought a lot about this, and I really can't see why so many fans seem to dislike Godzilla vs Biollante. Most fans and reviewers seem to usually place it about middle of the road, but I think it's much better than that.

Overrated: Godzilla vs Biollante - At the time, Godzilla cells/DNA was a new concept to the series, so TOHO gets props for that. But the film as a whole was incredibly boring, the battles were very lackluster (the climax fight in particular was a major disappointment), the characters in general were extremely lame (the bio terrorists in particular), and a very underwhelming musical scoreaside from Ifukube's reused Godzilla theme. I am just amazed that TOHO held a story contest, and out of all the entries, this was the best story they came across....but despite being overrated, it still beats the hell out of the likes of GvsMothra 92 and GvsSpaceGodzilla and is one of the stronger heisei entries....

Underrated - Um....none really. If anything, I think the entire Heisei series was a tad overrated...both the Showa and Millenium series are far superior imo.....

Overrated: Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla.

It's ok but I really can't stand to look at baby. I did not like the Godzilla suit either. The head movements were overused and unnatural. The story could have been edited down a bit. That entire subplot with our main characters love for Pterodactyl's was a bit goofy.

Underrated: Godzilla Vs. Mothra

The main bulk of the characters were well written along with the "broken family" theme surrounding them. Battra and Godzilla looked awesome and Mothra was decent also. Battra probably had the greatest rampage scene of the heisei era.

Jesus, what is with all of the Heisei hate around here huh.

To be honest, G2000 and GxM are lower than even the worst of the Heisei and only GMK blows them all away by a mile.

Most overrated: Really can't say.

Underrated: Definitely Biolante. It had everything going for it and it had more time and was the last film that Tanaka would oversee before his health went "south". Also most are with the exception of GvsSG and GvsM92.
