Question to Mike S - Double G DVD Sets New Release?

Hey Mike. I had been hearing some talk about Sony possibly re-releasing an 'upgraded' version of the two double dvd sets with new additions like actual widescreen movies and English subtitles. Is there any truth to this? Reason I ask, is because I had been planning on buying the Collector's 7 Pack DVD Set for christmas, but will hold off if this is planned or in the process of. Thanks in advance.

Granted it's not on DVD or anything, but Miramax's handling of Godzilla vs. Biolante on VHS is a very fine edition to anyones video tape collection. Crisp clear picture AND widescreen... The only obvious thing holding it down was the international dub, but that's to be expected.

Personally I thought it was one of the better Toho international dubs.

I thought the Toho international dub for Biollante was pretty good considering the circumstances and its release on VHS was one of the best I've seen (which strikes me as nuts that they haven't released it on DVD yet as well).

My main reason is because I am just about to buy the Godzilla Collector's DVD 7 Pack for $92.00 (with s/h), and I just want to make absolutely SURE Sony doesn't have any plans to re-release the double packs with new prints in widescreen and such. If that is the case then I will have to wait.
