What kind of message is that to leave on someone's answering machine? Of course I'm talking about GODZILLA VS. KING GHIDORAH. The scene where the guy checks his voicemail to during the middle of the movie and the lady leaves a marriage proposal on the recording. His response? Laughter. Does he get "marry me" on his voice mail daily or something?

Damn that was odd. I barley got the impression that they were friends let a couple. I thought Emi was his potential love interest (only to find out that he's her great, great, great, great grandfather. How very Luke and Leia.)

It just came off as weird. Then again that movie had its weird moments from time to time.

Rest assured that is not what's being said in the Japanese version.

I only know the english dialog!

"I thought of a name your book....we'll call it "The birth of Godzilla." I hope it sells well, and if it does...will you marry me?"

"I've already thought of a title, and when it was published, I even know how well it sold!"

That's about 70% serving from memory.

Now I remember why the line never sent me wretching like the english dub.... she is sort of making a joke that he willl be rich off the book....

although judging by that freaking huge ultramodern house he lives in he is filthy rich anyway....

I think it's stranger that after creating King Ghidorah, Teresawa starts trusting Emi. SHE CAME BACK TO DESTROY YOUR NATION AND YOUR HELPING HER?!
