This was the third Godzilla movie I'd ever seen (when I was 7 years old, after first seeing Godzilla 1985 first, then Gojira 1954). Probably the most surreal film in the series, with some of the best special effects from a Kaiju film up to that point. I wish they'd made more like it.

The original music by Kohichi Sugiyama isn't too shabby either. Except for that 80's technoish Bio Wars cue, but the rest of it is really catchy.

Does anyone else listen to Kajagoogoo's "Too Shy" and think of "Save the Earth?"

This one is really cool, really deep. Anytime any of the monsters gets hurt, i'm all for it. It gives them a sense of realism (man-made weapons might not do the trick, but the monsters themselves sure can take each other out). Just a tad sappy in the sense that after all, this is a giant plant.

i never really like the biollante movie as much as the MG ones simply because the monstrous plant didnt warm to me.

but i like it also in a way because if it werent for this one, the spacegodzilla may never have been made. now that has, imho, better action than the biollante movie :D
