Destroyah is a very tricky kind of movie. It's a terrible film but it's able to give the audience the bare minimum of what it came to see (Godzilla dies, an Ifukube score, one last big bad villain) that it's able to coast by on just that alone.

It's not just you. It definitely is an insulting scene. Blatant lifting from American movie, poorly designed and executed props. ...Yep.

When I first saw Destroyer, I was moderately excited by this scene because it was cool to have a "foot soldiers vs. monsters" scene in a Godzilla movie. And I was really jazzed by some of the cool shots:

- The crab Destroyer's reflection in the security mirror
- The shot where they fire a missle down the length of a hallway at one of the crab Destroyers
- The last remaining crab Destroyer engulfed in flames and staring down the heroes, while dripping onto the ground and presumeably infecting it.

I think those are the only really cool things I can think about Destroyah. Could've been such an awesome movie.

Destroyah beats Spacegodzilla because of one simple thing.

That opening Title sequence may be the best of the series. Boom.
