Gee, I saw the thread was updated and I came here because I'm hankering to watch King Ghidorah again, but instead I see this bullcrap.
My thoughts:
Even if the monsters are the main attraction, these are
movies not theme park rides, and as movies they rely on the humans to carry a story. Y'know. 'Cause that's how stories work. With a relatable, human connection. Pretty much every celebrated work of fiction has this. The only way to make a good story without that connection is if you are a supremely talented or crazy genius.
Also consider that Takarada has been at G-Fest twice within the past three years and is supremely loved by the fans who "only care about monsters," the fans who petitioned to have him be in the Legendary movie.
Yeah, we're all in it for the monsters.
