Let's say the time travel events in G vs KG didn't happen...

Even the 84 godzilla? lacking his hyper ray? going up against the supercharged SG seen at the end of the film, with his fortress of crystals continually regenerating his power. I think one on one SG would at least be able to trap that 80's goji in the way he did little G, even if Goji was somehow totally invulnerable. Even the more powerful Goji couldnt free little G, so I doubt a battered 80's one could do the same. But it would be cool if a battle between the two lasted for weeks, I just doubt it as SG would be so much larger and more powerfuland goji so much weaker than when he fought SG in the movie.

Well fighting an 80 meter tall G definitely SG tops him on that

So i guess the point to most of these situations is that the answer to the original question is; there would be no heisei sereies Godzilla films because Godzilla would simply not exist? I'd like to look at it like Godzilla still exists, thank you.

Here's another point; you could take another 'real life' viewpoint on it and wonder about all the other battles that are occurring that we're missing visually. Assumedly, we're getting to see all the Godzilla vs ____ battles only because they occur in cities. Think about it. If all these monsters were out there, and they obviously don't care too much for each other, then there would probably be fighting almost constantly between a couple or more of them elsewhere. We don't get to see them because the movie house doesn't want to saturate us and make us bored with battle after battle of monsters just trying to make it in the wild in what could at most be territory disputes between them. Really that's what most of the movies out there have been anyway. Godzilla "protector" of the humans? Nah... He just doesn't like other monsters invading his stomping grounds (pun intended); we can relate. Maybe the climatic Mothra/Battra battle has occured, but no one was there to "film" it.
