The new video game DESTROY ALL HUMANS got me thinking, was there some sort of "Drestoy all blank" idiom around in the late 60's that inspired either Toho's international sales or AIP to name the movie such, or all the simular phrases to pop up since then a testiment to what an impact DAM had American culture?

Sparkie, I can't think of a "Destroy all blank" prior to DAM. I do know that the title was coined by Toho, not AIP.

Didn't the original Japanese title translate to something like Attack of the Marching Monsters? So where did they get Destroy All Monsters from?

A. It sounds cool.
B. The term "all monsters" suggests a large cast of kaiju.
C. Perhaps it's more marketable to an American audience.
