While it could be cool to have any of those films remade (emphasis on "could be"), the only one I think should be remade is King Kong vs Godzilla. Imagine a remake where the creators aren't thinking, "Let's not scare the kiddies and make the Eighth Wonder of the World a berry addict."

Imagine a realistic-looking Kong fighting Godzilla. No "Derr... is my fur on fire?" moments, no bouncing for joy. Imagine a quick-paced, furious fight between Kong and Godzilla. A fight where Kong is not just fighting Godzilla, but also trying to keep him from using his ray (I doubt a modern-day Kong would be able to stand Godzilla's ray like the old one). If done right, it could kick serious ass.

I voted for GtTHM.

It's a good movie. I've always liked it, and I'd want none of the actors changed, none of the dialogue "spiced up," no gratuitous gore added. I just think it would benefit from more advanced effects resources.
Little things like Godzilla's breath, the exploding model plane, and most especially the assassin catching a foam boulder could use a bit of polish. For that matter, Godzilla and Mothra need more refined suits - but in the old pattern. I like the expressiveness of the suits that were used, especially Rodan's. He actually looked as though he was having fun screwing with the other monsters.

Ghidorah's design would definitely stay the same. No chicken feet for spacedragons, I say. Maybe his necks should be a bit longer. His movements should remain chaotic (part of Ghidorah's charm is how a spastic, chirping thing with no arms can come off as menacing as he does), but with a bit of computer touch-up just to make the wires even less obvious.
NO c.g. animation of limbs, though - that usually has a tell-tale look which destroys the illusion. The gravity bolts should definitely remain powerful and wavy - they're not lightning. (KG's lightning attacks in GMK were awful, IMO.)
Does anyone else listen to Kajagoogoo's "Too Shy" and think of "Save the Earth?"
